We need volunteers to help with our March-A-Thon on Saturday, August 20, 2022, Starting at 7:15 and continuing until 11:30. Please see the itinerary below for a timeline, descriptions, and needs.
Friday Evening August 19 (Before Meet the Band)
4 Volunteers needed to fill coolers with water
Saturday August 20
Trucks– We will need 4 trucks to pick up the coolers of water and place them in the back of their trucks. You will follow behind the band so that the water can be accessible to our other volunteers.
Nurse– We will need you to carry the first aid kit and ride in a truck should a student need attention.
Water Distribution– 12 volunteers (3 for each truck) You will hand out water and neck towels as needed and pick up empty water bottles. You will be walking with the band students so be prepared to walk the length of the parade.
Money Collectors– We will need about 20 money collectors. You will be walking on the sides of the band and collecting money in the jars provided.
Food Service– We will need 6 volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up lunch. Lunch will be held in the Daulton Cafeteria. Two individuals will do check-in while the others monitor the students. Once all of the students have checked in, then you will join the others in monitoring the students.
7:15 Trucks pick up water coolers from the band hall and drive to Daulton
8:30 All volunteers and students meet at Daulton Elementary School
9:00 March-A-Thon Starts
10:30 Cafeteria Opens at Daulton
10:45 Kids arrive and those that purchased meal tickets will have lunch in the cafeteria.
*All Volunteers Make Sure you find Doerte in the Cafeteria and scan her QR code and register yourself on the page to earn your volunteer hours for our end of year drawing for a chance to have all band fees reimbursed at the end of the year.
